What is Lifeline?
A federal program that lowers the cost of phone or internet service for eligible low-income households.
Lifeline is run under Federal Communications Commission rules and administered by the Universal Service Administrative Company. Only one Lifeline benefit is allowed per household, and you must recertify every year to keep it.
Who may be eligible
- Households where someone takes part in SNAP, Medicaid (Health First Colorado), Supplemental Security Income, Federal Public Housing Assistance, or the Veterans and Survivors Pension
- Households with income at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
- Additional programs apply for residents of Tribal lands
Eligibility is decided under the program's rules during Access Wireless's enrollment process. ServeMobile does not decide eligibility, enroll anyone, or run the program.
