Why we are building the Connected Community Fund.
A phone number is how people reach a doctor, a job, a landlord or their family. Losing it can make every other hardship harder.
The idea
Serve Aurora works with neighbors facing hardship in Aurora, Colorado. Staying connected is often part of the problem. ServeMobile is our answer: a phone service where every paid line helps someone connect.
How it will work
- Businesses subscribe to eligible paid ServeMobile lines.
- A set portion of each paid line goes to the fund, only after the payment clears.
- Neighbors apply for help staying connected.
- Approved applicants get free or low-cost service, funded as money is available.
Our promise
The fund is not active yet, so there are no figures to share. When it is, we will publish an impact dashboard based only on real data: contributions collected, funds spent and active sponsored lines. We will never publish estimates as results.
